Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards
As the new Cricket Season approaches we all need to think about keeping an eye open for all the hard work that volunteers will be doing in Cricket Cubs within our County.
It's no exaggeration to say that Cricket Clubs and their players would be nowhere if it were not for the time and effort on Volunteers. From Chairmen, to Coaches, to Tea Ladies, they are all integral to the running of a successful Cricket Club. Due to this,it is equally important that we take the time to ensure that these volunteers are recognised and rewarded for their efforts.
The Cumbria Cricket Board OSCA's are our way of reaching out and doing this.
In the words of England's Alistair Cook "Every cricket team has its unsung heroes and there are thousands of people involved in the sport who make a big contribution to the success of a club simply by preparing a pitch, keeping score or making teas.
"Without the countless hours of hard work by volunteers, many cricket clubs would not be able to function and the OSCAs is a great way of showing them your appreciation"
